Getting Started
This section covers the basics of accessing the Form Builder, understanding its interface, and creating your first form.
Accessing the Form Builder
- Log in to your OSPROV account
- Navigate to Forms in the main menu
- You will see a list of existing forms with their status (Published, Draft, or Unpublished)
- Click Create New Form to start building a new form, or select an existing form to edit
Form Builder Interface
The Form Builder interface consists of several key areas:
- Component Sidebar: Located on the left side, contains all available form components that can be dragged onto the form
- Form Canvas: The central area where you build your form by adding and arranging components
- Component Settings Panel: Appears when you select a component, allowing you to configure its properties
- Form Settings: Located at the top of the page, includes form name, prefix, theme, and type settings
- Action Buttons: Located at the bottom of the page, includes options to save, clear, or publish the form
Creating a New Form
This guide walks you through the process of creating a new form in the OSPROV Form Builder.
Steps to Create a New Form
- Click Create New Form from the Forms list page
- Enter a Form Name (required)
- Enter a Form Prefix (required) - This will be used as part of the submission ID (e.g., "REQ-" for requests)
- Select a Theme for your form
- Choose the Type of form:
- Form: Standard single-page form
- Multi-Step Form: Wizard-style form with multiple pages
- Begin adding components to your form by dragging them from the sidebar onto the canvas
- Configure each component's settings as needed
- Click Save as Draft to save your form
Once you've created your form, you can continue to add components and configure settings as needed. See the Form Components section for details on the available components and how to use them.
